On this page I’ll give you an idea of the results you can expect if you employ me to help you get your first website. Expected results
The main reason for employing me is to eliminate the feeling of being overwhelmed by all of the different things you need to know when you set up a website.
I can set up your site for you, this is much more complicated than updating or maintaining the site. But it only needs to be done once and when the site is set up I can show you how to add pages and keep the site secure as well as backing up the site so that it can be reinstalled with all of the content if you make any big mistakes.
You’ll only learn what you need to. You need to know which things to learn if you want your time and effort pay off. It’s easy to spend a long time learning things you’ll never use, this is not just a waste of your time it’s very disheartening. I’ll explain what you need to learn, why certain things matter more than others and what results you’ll get from your training.
I can tell you how search engine optimisation works and how to do basic SEO on your own site. I can teach you the basics of HTML and CSS these are the basic building blocks of code that make your site work, but don’t worry you don’t have to learn any code if you don’t want to.
What you will end up with is a professional looking website built using an industry standard content management system (website software) that is easy for you to update and maintain, and you’ll have the skills to look after the site yourself.
I use the WordPress content management system. This is a very powerful system that can be used to build almost any type of website quickly and cheaply without compromising on functionality.
Why should you employ me?
I can come to your premises and work for you for the amount of time you choose. If you need a small site with just a few pages you can employ me for a couple of days, if you want something more you could employ me for a week, two weeks or even longer. The choice is yours.
