Install the plugin

Go to Plugins > Add New

  • Search for Genesis Responsive Slider
  • Click – install now
  • Click the Activate link

Setup the slider

Go to Appearance > Widgets

  • Drag the Genesis – Responsive Slider widget into the Home – Slider widget area

Some important points…

The slider should now work BUT only…

IF – your 3 most recent blog posts have featured images. AND those featured images are1140px wide by 445px high.

Every time you add a new blog post to your site, it will automatically be used in the slider. And one of the old posts will be removed from the slider.

A better way to set up your slider…

  • Make a category called Slider
  • Make 3 blog posts. Assign these 3 posts to Slider category
  • Assign 1140 x 445px featured images to these 3 posts
  • Go to Genesis > Slider Settings and in the By Taxonomy and Terms: drop down choose -Slider

Now your slider will only display the 3 posts you chose. New and old blog posts will not affect your slider.
