Privacy & cookie policy, disclosure

I value your privacy.

Unless you contact me directly via my feedback form, I only collect the information I need to make this site function. My feedback form sends me the information via email and does not store that information in the website database.

Embedded videos and websites I link to.

I embedded videos from YouTube and Vimeo. From a cookies point of view, watching a YouTube video on this site is the same as watching it on YouTube. Google might ask you to accept their privacy policy before you can watch the video. I occasionally link to sites such as StudioPress using affiliate links. If you click some of the affiliate links on this website you will be taken to a third party website such as StudioPress via ShareASale. If you visit the StudioPress or ShareASale websites they use cookies. If you want to remove cookies from your web browser or change your cookie settings in your browser you can find links to instructions and information at the bottom of this page.

My contact form does not store information in the website’s database, it sends the information to me via email. Comments are disabled and you can not log into this site. Also, I do not use Google Analytics or Facebook ads etc.

This means the only information this website collects about it’s users is collected by the web server, the web server collects such information as anonymized IP addresses. My web host collects this information to keep the sites they host secure and free from malicious attacks. This also makes the site safer for you to browse. If you view a page with a YouTube or Vimeo video embedded in it, YouTube or Vimeo may set their own cookies as if you’d visited YouTube.com or Vime.com.

The information below explains all this and more.

Who we are

My website address is: https://philipgledhill.co.uk/.

Comments

WordPress usually places a cookie when you add a comment on a web site, however, I’ve disabled comments on this site.

Media

If you upload images to the website, to be used in portfolio pages etc, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

I take your privacy and security while visiting my site seriously. My web site does not set any cookies

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

For instance YouTube and Vimeo do use cookies in the videos that I embed in some of my pages. And if you click some of the links on my web site to visit the StudioPress or Beaver Builder websites, those websites do use cookies.

Who we share your data with

The only personally identifying information I have about you is if you become a customer or send me an enquiry. I do not share this information with anyone unless you ask me to. For instance if you wanted me to collaborate with your graphic designer, copywriter, photographer, or SEO professional, etc. Or, if I’m required to share your information for legal reasons, which would be beyond my control.

What rights you have over your data

My website does not store personally identifying information about you. So the only personally identifying information I have about you is via correspondence through email etc. If you’re a customer I’m legally obligated to keep some of this information for tax purposes etc. However, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data. If I don’t have a legitimate reason to keep your data, I’m happy to delete it. Just email me contactphilip@philipgledhill.co.uk.
