If you used my .wie widget import files to setup your front page, all you have to do now is carefully customize the text that is already in the widgets.

If you’re starting from scratch and you want to make your copy of Academy Pro look like this, follow these instructions.

  • Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets
  • Drag one Text widget and three Custom HTML widgets in to Front-Page-4 widget area.
  • Add the content as in the following screenshots.

1.) The Text widget (What people are saying…)

This is a simple Text widget in Front-Page-4 widget area.

Leave the widget’s title box empty, just type your text (What people are saying…) into the editor window.

And don’t forget to click the blue save button.

2.) The three Custom HTML widgets

The three testimonials are displayed using three Custom HTML widgets.

Just drag three Custom HTML widgets in to Front-Page-4 widget area, below the Text widget.

There are three HTML tags used in the Custom HTML widgets in this example.

  • blockquote (needs an opening and a closing tag)
  • cite (needs an opening and a closing tag)
  • img (The image tag is a single, selfcontained tag. It doesn’t need a closing tag.)

If you’ve used my .wie widget import file to set up your home page, all you now need to do is carefully change the text. If you want to use images in your testimonials, you’ll also need to make the image code.

The images are 90×90 pixels.

The easiest way to  way to write the code for the images to use the WordPress editor, then in text view, copy and paste the code you’ve made in to your Custom HTML widgets.

You’ll end up with one Text widget above three Custom HTML widgets. The code in the Custom HTML widgets will look like this…
